Integration of theory and practice delivers results. Takamul offers support tools for our innovators to use in their workplaces and communities, mostly free of charge. These tools are also available to others for a fee. Initiatives available through Takamul include:
Shadowing – we match an innovator to another employer and provide a program of practical learning either within the innovator’s current sector or completely different sector. Program durations are flexible and are negotiated between the innovator and future shadow employer. Shadowing provides many benefits including exposure to another industry’s systems or strategic partner’s systems, networking opportunities with like-minded individuals and insights into new opportunities and/or challenges.
Coaching - coaching is a deliberate process utilizing focused conversations to create an environment for individual growth, purposeful action, and sustained improvement. It is designed to help people focus on what they need to do more and less of to achieve their goals. We match a suitable coach (male/female and Western expat/Arab National) to the innovator and help develop a coaching plan that delivers on the innovators’ development need. Coaching supports those who are facing specific challenges in their work environment and breaks down barriers to help achieve greater levels of accomplishment using proven techniques for change.
Mentoring - mentoring is a powerful personal development and empowerment tool. It is an effective way of helping people to progress in their careers. It is a partnership between two people (mentor and mentee) normally working in a similar field or sharing similar experiences. We match experienced mentors with our innovators and support both parties to develop goals over a six month period, ultimately providing the innovator with clarity around which way to proceed. Mentoring provides the mentee with an opportunity to think about career options and progress.
Innovator’s Tool Box – the tool box provides free of charge tools for our innovators to use in the workplace. These tools have been developed to support the learning modules contained within Nomu and are available in hard copy or electronic format.
