The Board is supported by a breadth of qualified and experienced specialists across five separate Taskforces. Taskforce members provide advice, guidance and networking support to realise the Foundation’s vision.

Five (5) Taskforces exist across the following areas:

Business Development, Sponsorship & Marketing

The specific responsibilities of the Taskforce include;
Provision of advice and guidance in relation to matters affecting business development, marketing and communications with a specific focus on growing product portfolios or business/organisations. This includes insights into new communications mediums, an understanding of market forecasts and introductions to suppliers and experts who can assist with marketing and communications or sponsorship generation.


Curriculum Design

The specific responsibilities of the Taskforce include;
Provision of advice and guidance in relation to matters affecting curriculum design and learning methodologies with a specific focus on capability development with a view to impact society. This includes insights into new approaches, psychometric testing and introductions to suppliers and experts who can assist with program design. Members also review draft curriculum and attend focus group testing.


Government Relations

The specific responsibilities of the Taskforce include;
Provision of advice and guidance in relation to matters affecting country to country diplomacy, UAE Federal department liaison and Emirate to Emirate relationships with a specific focus on growing inter-governmental partnerships and access to key decision makers in order to expand AAF business and/or affect positive change in society through either program roll-out or policy implementation. This includes insights into newly announced government capability development initiatives or newly formed entities which require training and professional development support and an understanding of MENA region politics and international donor funding program roll-out. Taskforce members also review draft grant bid proposals and policy positioning statements and attend focus group testing.


Joint Ventures & Partners

The specific responsibilities of the Taskforce include;
Provision of advice and guidance in relation to matters affecting joint venture set-up (legal practicalities, business case, due diligence etc) and strategic partner selection and appointment with a specific focus on growing brand and product portfolios and/or business/organisations. This includes insights into potential suppliers who through adequate investment, could strengthen the AAF’s financial position and brand in the MENA region and introductions to alternative suppliers and experts who can assist with joint venture advice and implementation. Taskforce members also review draft partner proposals and business cases and attend focus group testing.


Participants’ Affairs

The specific responsibilities of the Taskforce include;
Provision of advice and guidance in relation to matters affecting participants’ recruitment, selection, orientation and progress through AAF programs (with a specific focus on the Abdulaziz Leadership Program). This includes insights into emerging skill/competency testing methodologies, social return on investment models and other capacity research tools. Taskforce members also review proposed recruitment and selection frameworks and measurement plans and attend focus group testing.
